午前中にTOEICの試験を受けた。
今回は、一切試験対策をしていない。
なぜなら、TOEICを受験するのははじめてで、これから英語の勉強をしてどのくらい点数が伸びるかを確認するための指標としたいと思っているからだ。
…というのは口実で、実際はただ単に勉強するのが億劫だったというのが実情でもある。。。
そんなわけで、今回受験をするにあたって英語の勉強はまったくしていなかったわけだが、受験するにあたって朝からあわただしく準備をしていた。
受験票に貼る証明写真の準備だ。
受験票に貼る写真は、単に本人確認のために使われるだけではなく、TOEICの試験結果の公的証明書に使用される。そのため、写りが悪いと後で後悔すると思い、写真選びには神経を使った。
最近撮った証明写真で結構写りがいい写真があったので、それを使いたくて昨日の夜から机の周りをひっくりかえして探していたのだが、一向に見つからない。
よく撮れたから、またこの写真を使おうと思って避けておいたのがよくなかった。
以前撮った写りの悪い証明写真は何種類か見つかったのだが、肝心の写りの良い証明写真は見つからなかった。
結局、改めてもう一度証明写真を撮りなおそうと思って、入念にお化粧をしてから少し早めに家を出た。撮り直した証明写真を出先で受験票に貼れるように、糊とハサミも持って出かけた。撮り直した証明写真がいまいちだったときのために、念のため、写りの悪い証明写真もカバンに入れた。
家をでるときにまだ寝ている夫に「いってきます」と声をかけたら、「忘れ物がないかもう一度確認したほうがいいよ」と言われたので、受験票を見て忘れ物がないか確認した。
なんと鉛筆を持っていくのを忘れるところだった。
一応いつもカバンにシャープペンシルつきの2色ボールペンは入っているが、今回の試験はマークシート式なので、芯の太い鉛筆がないと効率が悪い。
あと、消しゴムもカバンに入っていないことに気が付いた。
夫には感謝してもしきれない。
消しゴムは家の中になかったので、受験会場に入る前にどこかで買おうと思った。
試験会場に向かう前に近所にあるお気に入りの証明写真機で証明写真を撮った。
この証明写真機のどこがお気に入りかというと、美白モードがあるところと、回数制限なく何度でも撮り直しができるところ、そして画質がよすぎないためアラが隠れるところだ。
いつものごとく、何回も何回も撮り直しながら時間をかけて証明写真を撮った。
私が思う、写りよく証明写真を撮るコツは、カメラからできる限り離れて撮影することである。
カメラに近づいて撮ってしまうと、顔の凹凸が強調されてバランスの悪い写真に写ってしまう。
カメラから離れて撮影すると、普段自分を鏡でみたときに近いイメージの写真がとれる。
そのため、できるだけカメラから離れて、ズームで顔の大きさを調整して撮影した。
最近撮った写りのいい証明写真には及ばなかったが、家の中でみつかった写りの悪い証明写真よりはマシな写りの証明写真に仕上がった。
それから急いで試験会場に向かった。
試験会場に行くまではなかなか大変だった。
初めて行く目的地に向かうときはいつもgoogle mapを見て場所を確認しながら向かうのだが、今日はgoogle mapの調子がわるく、方角が正確に表示されなかったため、３回ほど向かう方角を間違えてしまい、時間を無駄にしてしまった。
それから、試験会場の場所がわかってからも、入り口がどこにあるかわからず、

朝から夫と一緒に銭湯に行った。

それから、家で夫と本日買ったものをつまみにお酒を飲んだ。

サーモンのお刺身は脂がのっていておいしかった。
The salmon sashimi was fatty and delicious.
クジラの刺身はいままであまり食べる機会がなかったが、多少の臭みはあったものの、すりおろした生姜と合わせて醤油に付けて食べたらとてもおいしかった。
I haven't had many chances to eat whale sashimi until now, but although it had a slight odor, it was very delicious when I dipped it in soy sauce with grated ginger.
馬の刺身に近い味だと感じた。

しらすは、すりおろした大根と一緒にポン酢をかけて食べた。この前菜を「しらすおろし」というが、私はこれが大好きである。

I tried making it with both chicken thigh meat and chicken breast meat,,

今日は目が覚めて誰かと話したい気分だったけど夫はまだ寝ていたので、近所の公園ににいって母と電話をした。

２つの歯にまたがる虫歯だったので、保険が適用される白いプラスチック製の詰め物だと強度が足りないので、保険適用外の白いセラミックか、保険が適用される銀歯をおすすめされた。

In the afternoon, we created a document that teaches the new employee how to answer the phone while she goes to a health checkup.
When she returned from that ,I taught her about how to answer the phone.
人にものを教えるのはなかなか慣れていないので、どうすればわかりやすく教えられるのかわからず、上手に教えられなかったかもしれない。

仕事が終わり帰りがけにスーパーマーケットに寄って、晩酌用のおつまみと350ｍｌのレモンサワーを3本買った。

今日はお昼休みに夫から「洗濯をしないと明日着ていく服がない」と連絡があったため、雨が降っているけれども洗濯をした。
